Guidance Preparatory Academy in Roanoke is a faith-based daycare and preschool for children from 6 weeks through school age. Our school is on Litsey Road near Highway 114, convenient for families in Roanoke, Trophy Club, Northlake, and nearby communities. We’re open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
A Planned Curriculum for Every Age
Our classrooms follow Pinnacle Curriculum, a faith-based early childhood curriculum with weekly themes and activities planned for each age group. Teachers use regular assessments to see how each child is growing, and families can see that progress for themselves.
Faith Woven Into Each Day
Children hear Bible stories every day, and our youngest learners begin with daily prayers and songs. Families of every faith background are welcome. Every child takes part in our Bible-based curriculum, and we respect the traditions each family brings from home.

From infant care, including part-time options, to toddler, preschool, Pre-K, and school-age programs, children have a place to grow at every stage.
Enrichment at Roanoke
Children can join Little Yogi’s, STEM Adventures, and Alphabet Adventures, which are offered at our Roanoke school, along with Kids’ Kitchen and Tiny Picassos.
Staying Connected, and Events Families Love
Families receive daily updates and photos through our parent app, and teachers meet with each family for conferences in the fall and spring. Only pre-approved adults with photo identification can pick up a child, and families enter a code on a keypad to reach the classroom area.
Our families love our school events, like our Grandparents Day lunch, which filled the parking lot this year.
Meet Our Director
Hello, my name is Amanda Britt, and I am the Center Director at Guidance Preparatory Academy of Roanoke. I bring eight years of experience in early childhood education and a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children and their families. I believe strong partnerships are the foundation for a child’s success, and I value building meaningful relationships with families, supporting teachers, and creating a welcoming community where everyone feels connected. As a mother, I understand the importance of trust, communication, and providing quality care for every child.
My favorite part of working with children is being part of their growth and development during some of the most important years of their lives. I love watching children gain new skills, build confidence, and reach important milestones. At the center, I am excited to create a strong sense of community where families feel welcomed and involved, and where teachers feel valued and empowered. I believe that by working together, we can create meaningful learning experiences that inspire children and support a lifelong love of learning.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family. I am also a proud pet owner of my Chiweenie, Chiwallie, and will soon welcome a golden retriever named Millie into the family. I love Eric Carle books, especially Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, and I have always enjoyed writing and English classes. Something many people are surprised to learn about me is that I am a mom of eight children, which has given me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of strong relationships, communication, and quality care.
